f, frequency; n, number of alleles; N, number of individuals; 2N, number of chromosomes; AD, Alzheimer's disease; EOAD, early-onset AD (≤70yrs); LOAD, late-onset AD (>70yrs); Controls, the total controls combining two subgroups through two different diagnostic evaluations. The numbers in last column denote: 1. Comparing overall AD with controls (α was set at 0.017 for each APOE allele comparison); 2. Comparing EOAD, LOAD, FH+AD and FH-AD with controls respectively (α was set at 0.003 for each APOE allele comparison); 3. Comparing male AD with male controls and female AD with female controls (α was set at 0.003 for each APOE allele comparison).
