Summary of digestive, behavioral and histological data obtained from adult rats with neonatal CI (onset of CI at PND8). Somatic sensitivity refers to the abdominal sensitivity to heat. Visceral sensitivity refers to the responses to CRD (60 mmHg). Colon histology refers to the inflammation grade by comparison to control. N: normal by comparison to the range of control values. I: increased, above the range of normal values. D: decreased, below the range of control values. * indicates animal had colon abnormality (e.g. enlarged colon, relaxed anal sphincter, or other). | ||||
