After N successes the module outputs and stops. Right: Two CBMs generate the cumulative distribution functions shown in Figure 2. CBM1 is responsible for the iterative responses, which occur with probability 1 - q; with complementary probability the animal will move into a timed response for which CBM2 is the mechanism.
